The Lisheen Mine is a former lead and zinc mine located between the villages of Moyne and Templetuohy in North Tipperary, Ireland.

The mine was accessed via a 1.5kmD x 6.3mW x 5.0mH decline with around 6,300 tonnes of ore-grade material transported from the mine to the surface every day. Room-and-pillar and drift-and-fill were the main extraction methods employed underground, with blast hole stoping used in thicker areas.

Byrnecut’s scope of works included mechanised decline and lateral development, as well as fleet maintenance and workforce training.
