Scope
Re-establishment, recommissioning, declining, lateral and vertical development, sub-level cave production and stope production using longhole methods

Byrnecut commenced the recommissioning and re-establishment of services at the Capricorn Copper Project in February 2017. Underground Mining operations commenced the month after.

The old Mount Gordon Mine has been rebadged as the Capricorn Copper Project following a change in ownership. Underground mining operations commenced in March 2017.

The mine is located approximately 120km north of Mount Isa on the Carlton Hill pastoral lease. The project includes 188,000 hectares and contains 28 mining licences,

13 exploration permits and a special lease on which the camp accommodation and facilities are located.

The Capricorn Copper mine consists of multiple ore bodies, each accessed by underground declines.

The Mammoth mine primarily employs long hole open stoping and longitudinal sub level caving. This method at times is combined with fill varieties including waste rock fill, cemented rock fill and paste fill.

The Esperanza South mines employs longitudinal sub level caving as the primary mining method with 25m sub levels.

The scope also includes surface road maintenance and ROM feeds.
