Scope
Decline, lateral and vertical development, longhole stope production
From August 1999 to December 2007, Byrnecut performed all underground mining works for Mt Magnet Gold at the Hill 50 and Morning Star underground mines.
Works were performed under a fixed and variable contract structure, with both mines being managed by a single management structure based at the old Hill 50 mining complex. Both mines were placed under care and maintenance in December 2007 when cost pressures related to depth and to commodity prices meant the operations were no longer viable.
